If you have the account details just write to the PPI claims for the bank.

I would not use a claims company that's you less you are prepared to pay a fee of up to 40% or more with VAT to them .

On your part is a cost of paper envelope and postage ideally signed for.
and a wait for a reply a claims company may take longer to deal with a reply.

There are other threads regarding using claims companies and the pitfalls.

    Good luck

  • Hi Maggy
Thanks for your quick reply. I dont have any of the original details of either the Barclaycard or the Halifax loan, will the finance company hold this info? Do i need this to write to the banks? Where is the template letter on here too?

The claims company uses exactly the same method you use. They have no methods to bypass or get more. most just stick a stamp on an envelope containing your complaint and sit back and wait.

Check your Internet bank, if you made payments to them then the account numbers would be there. Statements on there go back quite a way (mine to 2004).
