My answer is not going to be helpful, sorry!

Escrow relies on the reputation of the escrow company, so if you don't know the company and they don't check out online then it could be dodgy. There is a scam where a seller or company set up their own escrow service, plant a few good reports about it and then start suggesting it is used for the convenience of their buyers. Buyers make payment to a supposedly neutral third party thinking they are safe, when in fact the escrow company is actually linked to the seller.

Unless you can get some unbiased and true reports about the company being used, proceed with caution.
