I would have thought that after 3 months you'd struggle to get anything from the dealer as the head gasket can go at any time.
Is it a diesel one by any chance? they are quite prone for going, which may be why the exlcusion was put on the warranty.0 -
why a renault nospace? we have a long wheel base one, got loads of room (is that what you meant?)
no its just before the 3 months not after., yes diesel.

sales of goods act stipulate that goods must be fit for purpose and as descrbed, that faults are seen as present at point of sale within the first six months unless the trader dealer or seller can prove otherwise.
you have given him the opertunity to fix wich he wants to hide behind his warranty clause, you have written to him, he has 14 days in wich to contact you back.
i would seek advice of consumer direct, and telephone your credit card company who can also put some weight onto the trader.0 -
thankyou for that i have wrote to mentoning the sale of goods act him asking to respond within 7 to 14 days and have also wrote to the credit card company so am just waiting to hear back from them.
was just geting a bit confused with everything i was reading through. will wait and see what the response is and then get in touch with consumer direct.

contact your CC company tomorrow, you have written but you need to call them asap make them aware and developments of the case.
usually recorded letters are ignored by dealer traders in the hope youll go away so you must keep chasing the seller up. follow up your letter with a phone call, record it if you can, to see if he comes to an agreement and sticks to it.0
