Everyday loans are horrid!!!!!!

My partner had a loan with these people a few years ago before we were together, they were at first being paid by a debt managment company, who were charging him an obscene amount of money for the service so got rid of them and reset the debt repayments ourselves.
After 7 months of arguing back and forth with Everyday loans we agreed 20 pounds a week, they agreed so for two years they have had this, they had also written to say that the interest would be stopped after 6 months of regular payments, a letter my partner lost during moving into mine:mad:
Anyway yesterday i recieved a statement saying they were charging 45% apr!!!!!!!!!
So of the 80 pounds a month they are getting 8 is coming off the debt!!!
Any ideas how i could get the apr dropped????do i have any legal right to argue how high this apr is??

What are the terms of the agreement he signed?
I'm assuming he's a high risk customer so didn't have cheaper options available to him at the time?
There's no legal limt to an APR that can be charged. And riskier customers have to pay more to reflect the higher rate of default.0 -
Sounds like quite a pickle, I would throw all the cash you have spare at this to be rid of the hideous thing."We want the finest wines available to humanity, we want them here, and we want them now!"0

7k for a wedding you can not afford? What planet are you people on...you can get married anytime when you are fiancially secure but borrowing 7k for it is madness. It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.0 -
My God, it's not LauraBell again is it? the post makes about as much sense.

You're on a DMP and you want to take out a further £7,000 debt? To pay for a £12,000 wedding ? :eek:0 -

2. You're on a DMP - But you have saved £5k = Well done for completely abusing the facility there to help people in debt. :T0 -
No need to be sarcastic. Simple asked a question!!!!! and yes, we need only 7000 to be able to have our wedding! unfortunately i was messing around with my previous boyfriend, we had join account and my credit is so bad now! it happens in life! if you cannot help and answer the question, then please do not be sarcastic as there are people who need help! maybe on your bank account you have 1000 and 1000 pounds but there are people out there whos family cannot afford to help to pay for wedding! life is sometimes very bad and yes it is only my fault that i have not seen the guy how is ripping me off as i had my pink glasses on! yes it happens people!
You might have nice holidays, cars and parents who help you, but there are people who has to work and pay for everything on their own.
so if you cannot give me a straight answer, then please do not bother to post sarcastic comments!
We all know how bad is the economic situation! but we have money to able to pay the loan off within 5years!0
