cot spare part problem

I have a lovely Mamas & Papas cot which I am giving to my son's friend who has just had a baby. The only problem is I've lost one of the plastic things that release/keep the drop side up.
I rang M&P and they (rather bluntly I thought) told me 'We don't do drop sided cots any more, we don't have any spare parts, I can't help you'. So much for being a valued customer!
Does anyone have an idea where I might get a replacement part?
I'm not in too mad a rush as the little one is likely to be in hospital for a few weeks yet as she has had an operation, but I would like to get it sorted out as I have promised them it.

Can you post a photo of the other plastic bit so we can see what it looks like? (then someone might be able to tell you where to look for another!)Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0
