Think someone's got their wires a bit muddled here!
So we rented a house on the street we subsequently ended up buying a house on. Moved on from the rental, let the letting agent know, tenancy ended and everything was fine for a year.
Today I come home to a note through the letterbox that they tried to do a tenancy inspection and couldn't gain access and that there were dogs loose in the house (that we own!)... the girl on the end of the phone when I rang them to advise them that inspecting the RIGHT house would be a smart move has only just stopped laughing now - have to admit I think it's a pretty spectacular move myself to try to conduct a tenancy inspection of completely the wrong house at random! More than anything else I rang in because the last thing I want is crossed wires meaning the current tenants down the road get accused of having dogs kept there.
Thought it might amuse some on here.

This reminds me of something my friend a District Nurse did a few years ago.
She was asked to visit an elderly lady suffering from constipation who need an enema and advice regarding her diet. friend did the procedure, discussed with patient, wrote notes and came back to office.
When she returned to the office she got a call asking where she was. She was supposed to visit the old dear two doors further down the road!
Nothing to do with houses sorry!0 -

Yep been there done that and got the T shirt
Visited a house conducted an interview and assessed this lady only to get back to the office and find out it was the wrong address.
The amount of questions I had to ask, personal ones at that, and she never once refused or questioned why I was there.
Unbelievable really.0 -
My brother and his girlfriend were having a new shower fitted by a plumber friend of my dad's. They had to go out of the house, in a bit of an emergency, and left a message for the plumber to get a spare key from the neighbour and do the job whilst they were out.
They came back to no new shower, and next door but one asking why someone had been round and taken their shower out and left it in the bathroom?!? Was it some kind of daft practical joke.
Next door neighbour had spare keys for both houses, and gave the plumber the wrong key. He didn't know where the new shower was, so just took the old one out, and waited for them to call him to finish the job.
He had to go back very red faced, and do the job the right way round!!!!Sometimes you're the dog, but more often you're the tree!:D0
