Replacement sealed unit glazing cost?

We were awoken at 3am this morning by a huge noise - which turned out to be a large white bird having flown into the opening part of the bedroom window, shattering the outer pane (extensively cracked but still intact), inner pane is fine. Bird was on laid patio last night, but gone by the time we got up (we have a local fox, lucky night for him/her).

Aside from the obvious questions (of why it was flying in the dark and why pick on my window?) what might this cost to replace? Approx 24" high and 12" wide, no fancy "K" glass or anything.

That's 3 things in a week now, 1st my car broke down, then boiler broke, now this. Good job I'm not superstitious, touch wood.....

We had a similar size bathroom window just shatter last winter due to the extreme cold.

The glazing firm replaced the sealed unit for around £75.

Got the beads off - a bloody good fit but nothing that a soft mallet and blunt 2" chisel couldn't sort. They come away laterally - towards the centre of the glass - not towards me as I first thought.

Now I've got accurate measurements I can price up a replacement.

ive replaced a number of em over the yrs. for various peeps.
they range from 40-80 quid. ish.
