Thanks OP, sadly there doesn't seem to be any 10p items in stock here in NI.
Very pleased for the guys and gals that did manage to get a bargain though!

Excuse me, how do you KNOW I don't need new oven tins??

I am complaining about their online service being USELESS, if I'd ordered expensive full price items and drove all the way there 6-7 mile to be told "sorry out of stock" I would be livid to say the least. What is the point in this service if it does NOT work.

If people complain then they will pull their socks up and make it work properly. It seems to work fine, at least for me.

I will go out and buy new oven tins, but this is something I tend to put off until I can find them at a bargin price.

I use this money saving site to SAVE money in the long run.

Oh and BTW I decorated my living room last week and ventured to Dunelm and spent a small fortune on New Curtains and Cushions, even though they were from last seasons sale items.

So am I not a loyal Dunelm customer?

Oh and contacting their customer service is done via an online form, so NO I cannot copy it on here for your amusement.
    No copy and paste?!?!
I think you need to read the MSE guidelines about Etiquette and other Forum rules.

Please explain why the online service is useless?!? Apart from 1 occasion on this thread the online ordering seems to have worked perfectly and everyone has been contacted (incl yourself) regarding the order being OOS.

Im sure it works that you order an item, they say its ready for collection at (eg) 10:00am sat. This is to give them enough time to check stock levels and contact you regarding the OOS item (which they did). If there was a situation were there was 1 left in the store and you would expect a generic response of OOS because its impossible to say that its 100% in the store and you missed it that way again youd have something more to complain about. In the situation were a poster travelled 40 miles because they didnt recieve a phone call they have an argument to make for bad customer service etc etc. Your situation you literally have done nothing (have you missed any oppotunity costs?!?!) . And your expecting some form of appology for it, thats ludicrous.

As for your comment regarding me reading the site and forum rules. Absolutely nothing on there saying i shouldnt post stating that a customer is unfairly treating a business.

On a similar note, i recently ordered bedroom furniture (more than 10p) from very.co.uk. it said OOS at the time of ordering however it should be here by early feb. They rang yesterday and said look were not going to be able to get the goods its something we no longer supply, were sorry for this inconvenience. My response, fair enough mate, ill have my money back and look again. Am i supposed to tell them to sell me the goods they dont have?! Its not bad customer service, im sure theyve done verything physically possible to get the goods. Just like dunelm want every one to get a bargain, if you dont it doesnt give you a right to complain!

Appologies if my etiquette is not at its best, i simply think it rude to complain to someone because they dont have something when they never guaranteed they do.

If you wanted the baking trays that much, why did you not ring there and then asking if they had them in stock instead of ordering online waiting 24 hrs (or whatever it is) and get a reply telling you its OOS.

Alternatively, there are some trays still available apparently in some stores, find your closest stockist and collect from there.

Ive just picked up 3 oil drizzlers. The lovely staff in P3rth had the attitude that I'd alerted them to the sale, they'd got lots of bargains out of it and they were very thankful.
They said they'd found lots of stock (all gone now apart from tat) They described what they'd found-and it was lots of things that were showing oos for me online.
My advice is dont order online and alert the staff. Pop in and see if you can find some Christmas stock that the staff dont know is 10p yet.
Really happy with my oil drizzlers but wish I'd gone down yesterday for the 10p dinnersets and wrapping paper. HTH

Why is it useless ..... Because when I reserved the items, the system told me that there was sufficient stock at that store!!!

    Let's leave it at that.

No roasting tins available in my 3 nearest stores. Had planned on going to Dunelm tomorrow so will have a look to see what else they've got in the sale.
