sun holidays wrong holiday given, need some advice please

Would really apprecaite any advice regarding a sun holiday I booked. We booked for Sandy Glade in somerset and paid for it and have only just recieved our holiday confirmation for a different park in Ilfracombe (where we stayed last year and was awful :() and they are also asking for another £63.00 too. I have rang John Fowler holiday park and they told me that the Sun must of overbooked for that site so have given me somewhere else. They cannot refund me or anything else as it was not booked directly with them and the phone number given for The Sun Holidays is now closed. Any ideas on an alternative number I can ring or somebody I can email? TIA

    Just read the terms and conditions :( which I probably should of done before. Can't believe we got Ilfracombe of all places, its vile. :o
  • hiya ang1234 - all you can do is email them or wait until the phone line opens on the 28th febuary...
    i am still waiting to hear if i have got a holiday :o

    Hi Ange 1234, Had trouble too regarding facility passes, then hol was cancelled. No for helpline is 0844 543 9745:mad:

    Be aware, Manorbier Park near Tenby South Wales. Facility Passes not optional. No mention of this in booklet. When i queried it , 4 days later they told the sun they over booked, and our holiday was cancelled!!!! Luckily we got another one, was this coincidence?! Don't think so. Don't trust em!

    I have been told the same too ahill, that it was overbooked by the sun so we got ours cancelled and given ilfracombe instead, even though I did book online and had paid etc, so I am now owing them another £63.00 on top of what I have already paid and we are also going to the place we had last year, john fowler holiday park in Ilfracombe which was so bad I wanted to come home 5 minutes after we arrived. I hope that doesn't come across as picky or miserable as we have done sun holidays and lots of caravan holidays before and always been very happy with accomadation and so on, and some have been really basic but all have been clean and tidy and pleasant, unlike Ifracombe. Im going to try ringing the helpline tomorrow though!
    Although we did enjoy the holiday but only because we stayed away from the site as much as possible!!

    Whats the advantage of booking through the Sun as I have a email from Breakfree Holidays with loads of holidays including July for £40 or £60 for 5 days.Service charge is extra £28 for 4 nights.
