    Your best seeing an advisor.

If one of my clients disclosed this to me, i could fire the information off to the various insurance companies and see who would offer the best rates. It would take maybe a few hours for them all to come back to me.

Some will offer with a cancer exclusion (this is probably how your mum has got cover?), some will offer with a rating (ie a higher premium than you would usually get) and some may offer on standard rates. Not all companies deal direct with clients only the more general companies (Aviva, L&G, LV etc) the rest you have to go through an advisor.

    Can you expand this, please?

Who won't cover you? Is this an exclusion, or are they refusing you life cover altogether? Did you apply for life cover alone, or was there critical illness cover and/or income protection included?

    How old are you?
