Hermes Deliveries

Ok not sure if this is the correct forum but here goes...

I ordered a 22inch TV last Friday from Home Shopping Direct and paid for next day delivery, but because of the weekend it was due to be delivered yesterday, but after some hold up at the warehouse for HSD it was only despatched yesterday so i was refunded to extra postage I paid but told I would still get next day delivery at no extra charge and I was told it should be with me today Weds. 8th Feb 2012.....But will it come today, and if so will it be delivered by a courier in a van or delivered to a courier in a car first...as when I have ordered things from various other retailers (usually clothing) the parcel is normally delivered to a courier in a car, but what about larger bulkier parcels????......

does it matter if its on a van or not? Its out for delivery today, as your tracking shows

No not atall, but usually when its out for delivery and it goes to a courier in a car it usually takes longer, doesn't it? Doesn't a van come direct from hermes depot or not?

But out for delivery since 332am??? early or what lol

ou for delivery,simply means it was scanned as going out for delivery today
Im not sure what you meran by direct from the depot
everyone on a delivery has routes/drop offs
so if you are at the end of a an route,its later than being at the start
you cant say a van will or wont be earlier

What I meant was, direct from depot, ie: delivered using a Hermes van not being delivered to a self emplyed hermes courier in a car. As it seems rather a funny time to be out for delivery from..0332am

it depends
you are asking questions that have many variables
again,the out for delivery simply refers to when it was scanned in the depot
it does not mean its leaving the depot at that point

All the info is nothing to do with couriers, the info out for delivery is from depot to sub depot, it is confusing for customers, no way can couriers have those parcels before 8am and a lot later for some.

Let us know if you received your TV on the day courier received.

It is car drivers that receive silly sized parcels like TVs, I have 2 x 32 ins for a customer, not in and no response to card or text!

I know when I'm returning them, they will have been called away by work, in hospital, on holiday or someone passed away.
Yes, I'm a jinx, they were healthy when they ordered and look what happens!
