    Morning all

Thanks for the lovely comments regarding my cake yesterday. It was chopped in to little pieces and eaten last night  I shed a tear in the corner. My sister had the most fiddly icon on her piece...she said it tasted of hard work :rotfl:
I don't know if i could handle getting paid for them. I am very hard on my own work - even with that cake as soon as anyone said they loved it i immediately pointed out the bit i had to patch up at the back and the icons i was unhappy with! lol. If things aren't as perfect as i would like it is okay as it is a gift - if i got paid for them i would be a bag of nerves if there was something i wasn't happy with!

    My day

    Work hard
DD1 to free school football club
    Dinner from stores
Cook and portion the whole chicken that OH got reduced
Make Mushroom soup - didnt get round to it yesterday
    Soup for dinner
LO's for lunch today - me - using up philly and last bagel and OH having LO pork casserole from last night
    Send ebay items
    Surveys
    Work hard
Decide on presents for DD1's birthday in 11 days
    tidy house

    That's my day

    Enjoy your break DNMS! :D
Ziggy - well done on the job
Wannabe - i hope you and DD are feeling better soon
Pixie - I don't get some buyers either - i sold some second hand items for only a few pounds cheaper than they cost me new!

  • Hi Everyone!

I'm new to this forum, but I've been a DFW for sometime, hopefully joining this site with support will help give me an extra push and help with staying positive :)

    Today I aim to:
    • Count money in copper/silver jar
    • Find items to list on eBay and take photographs
    • Enter CD's in to musicmagpie
    • Find Mobile phones to recycle
    • Food from stores
    • Catch up on TV I've missed whilst at work

I think that's it, sure I can think of other things as the day goes on :)

    Hi everyone :hello:

I didn't get online before I left the house this morning so I'm typing this up as an email draft and I'm hoping to get a chance to post it on my lunch break…

    DNMS - have a well-deserved weekend away :D
Ziggy - sounds fab about the new job! Good for you!
    Coco-cercise - welcome along!

You'll never guess what happened this morning - I realised we're due a £400 refund!!! :j :T :j Cannot believe I forgot about this - further evidence that my head is up my !!! - it's a claim for the survey on the first property we were going to buy - service offered from the mortgage advisers. I just need to sign a form, scan it back (done) and sit back and wait for a cheque to come through the door! :D Maybe our luck is changing…

I've been thinking about OH's bday too (MSE style)… I've bought him a wee pressie (£12 - bought a while ago), going to bake his fave cake (just need to buy walnuts) and create some sort of voucher for a restaurant with the valid from date as pay day (slightly cheeky that it's not valid from his bday, I know! ;)). Hoping he'll still feel a bit spoilt by the end of the day when his friends come round and we have some food on the go, the fire lit and he's got a whisky in his hand. Actually quite excited about having people round now the downstairs of our house is finished. :)

    Doing some small things today:
:) Scanned form, no postage paid ;)
    :) Sitting tight waiting on a £400 refund :D
    :) Free cuppa at work
    :) HM lunch
    :) Emailed sis, didn't call
:) Teaching myself crochet - thanks to free you tube vids :T - added benefit is that I make lots of dishcloths out of £1.99 dishcloth yarn
:) Quick tidy round - trying my own kinda fly lady thing
:) Need to sort out gas and elec meter readings!!! Why can't I ever remember about this?!!! Haven't paid electricity since we moved in in December (nightmare switching provider etc) so going to get a shock about that v soon…
:) Checking out free Kindle books

    Catch up soon!

ETA - also just thought - I'm going to rip out an old cardi with holes in the elbows :o and use the yarn to knit something else... Is a gorgeous angorra cardi so waste not want not...

A Pauls B0utique bag - very nice, black patent, but dd1 has decided PB is naff...she's very happy with the cash made;)

I bet she is! I wish my items would sell so well, I guess my carp really is carp & not somebody else's treasure, haha!

Wahey, great news about the refund! An extra £400 towards debt is going to be a massive help :)

Love your plans for your OH's birthday, sounds like a fab night & then he gets to enjoy all the attention again when you take him out for dinner. I'm sure he'll understand the timing as you're both debtbusting together!
