When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free. :D

Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important :money:

Morning everyone....and happy Wednesday:j:j I'm always happy on a Wednesday morning as I don't need to go to work until 11...what a treat:D
Hope you're all fine and dandy...and keeping warm.
Orange Fairy - I have to say, what an AMAZING cake - DNMS was right, you could make some money out of it:)

Ok, let's get my list together:
  • check banking...tax credits in tomorrow so all is well;)
  • do any surveys, check onepolll (it's sooo slow again, where are all the surveys:()
  • Packed lunch for dd2 and I
  • Walk to work
  • Pack up the ebay parcels which have been paid for - sold a bag of dd1's for £46:T (Only £60 in the shop, they could have a new one for not much more, I don't get some buyers;))
  • Avidly watch ebay listings end tonight
  • Meal from plan tonight - Nigella's chicken stuff:rotfl:
  • Take chicken out of freezer to defrost
  • Heating on low
  • NSD...apart from the postage
Ok, that's all - have a great day:A

  • Morning everyone.
Thanks for starting the thread Pixie, Have a great, relaxing time determined. Wannabe I hope you and your DD feel better soon.

Yesterday I managed to finish painting and stained the floorboards in what will be our dining room and kitchen overflow. (Kitchen is really tiny so fridge freezer and table can go in there and will use the built in cupboards for my slow cooker, baking tins etc.) When OH gets back from work with the car i'll nip over to Ikea for a big rug for in there and buy/order a washable door matt. It has the patio door out to the garden and will have the dogs traipsing in and out.
Can then get some boxes and furniture out of the living room! (otherwise known as the downstairs dumping room.)

I also got a date to do my training induction for my new job next week! Still have to wait for CRB and refs before I can start actual work though.

    Todays list:
Not a NSD but rug was budgeted for in moving fund.
    Check for surveys.
Unpack a couple of boxes and try and tidy round a bit.
Walk dogs for some (cold) fresh air and exercise.
    Meals from stores.
WM on, will dry on airer.
Make the most of being a lady of leisure!
  • Morning all, Happy Wednesday :)

    Today I have/will:

    - Breakfast from stores
    - Lunch, l/o lasagne from last nights dinner
    - Pop into town on my lunch break to pay some money off my credit cards!!
    - Dinner from freezer - Southern Fried Chicken, Homemade potato wedges and salad me thinks
    - Sort out my tip of a house
    - Re-do my budget for the rest of the month
    - NSD!!

Thats my lot. Keep it warm y'all
