Advice re: Correspondance from Aqau/BOS

Hi All,
Earlier this month I sent a letter to Aqua regarding my credit card with them, I signed up years ago, was told nothing about insurance but when I looked through my paperwork it clearly said we would advise you take out insurance, I copied and highlighted this along with my letter.
Anyway I received two pieces of correspondance back and am struggling to work out whether they're telling me I don't have a chance or I need to wait for more correspondance... here we go...
Brilliant, I thought,
(God my fingers hurt right now
)
Anyway, the second letter really stumped me, is this wiping out what was said in the first letter, just one day before?
Or is it just saying you still have this insurance in place, cancel it, but were still looking into previous payments you have made?
I can't get my head around it, especially because the letters came one day between eachother, and on different letterheads, (One Aqua one BOS, the same company overall but...)
Anyway, long read, but this is the best place for me to ask, so to anyone who has the time to read, I appreciate it massivly.

Dear...
Thank you for contacting us about your complaint. I am sorry this situation has occured and I appreciate you taking the time to bring this to my attention.
My understanding is that you were concerned about the way you were sold BOS PPI on your Aqua Credit Card.
We are now gathering information and documentation relevant to your complaint to help us assess this further. If you wish to provide us with further information, please feel free to do so.
(Couple of para's about financial ombudsman)
Yours Sincerely
Head of PPI

First letter is standard we're investigating one.
Second is asking since you don't want the PPI (based on your complaint) do you want to cancel.
All seems normal to me.0 -
So what your saying is both are standard letters, and as far as your aware they are still investigating my claim as mentioned in the first letter?
Thanks so much for your quick response, your name is very relevant to how I'm feeling!0 -

Yes, they both look fine to me, claim still being looked into as per 1st letter. They've just sent you the second because you didn't cancel the PPI and assume you don't want it any more.0 -
Brilliant. Again thank you for your time in reading and giving advice.
These forums are amazing.0
