Microsoft Works Question

Sorry if this is a daft question as I haven't used Works much.
I've saved some copies of letters in Microsoft Works. Now I need to know on what date I sent them and realise that the automatic update was set so they are showing today's date.
I've changed the settings now but is there any way that I can find out when I wrote them please and is the only solution to print off a copy for myself in future?
Thanks for any help.

Thanks so much and for such a prompt reply too! You wouldn't believe how long I've spent on the microsoft website and google trying to find an answer to this! (Had to prove when I first informed an insurance company of changes)
Another triumph for MSE forums and the helpful people on here, I'm so grateful. Thanks again:beer:The beautiful thing about learning is nobody can take it away from you.
