Not all of us, we had children through a joint choice (even if youngest was a huge shock to the both of us!) and for nearly 20 years, we were an excellent team.
As for a walking wallet, he pays maintenance for the boys (£140 a month) and I ask for no more. So no extra for school trips, uniform, clothes, shoes etc. As far as I am concerned, that is what I receive tax credits for.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
what a JOKE that is, how they can make someone pay £60 pw is a farce. My mate at work today told me that was overkill and he doesnt spend that on his daughter each week.
you have to remember that this money will also be spent on hot water, electricity, food ECT for your child, not just material objects like toys and clothes, so £60 sounds a resonable amount to spend in a week to me, accounting these things.:money::money::money:0 -

As an NRPP I know what it feels like to feel that the PWC is living a life of luxury on your dime whilst you're struggling.
BUT ultimately if all your paying is the amount the CSA dictates you need to pay you can't really complain. You need to accept that you have a financial responsibility. If it makes it easier for you to stomach it, try and think of it as another bill that you have to pay (like your loan).
In addition I would highly recommend posting details of your finances on the debt free board (if you haven't already done so). The people on there are really helpful and might be able to help you arrange your finances to benefit you because basically there is no way of getting out of making the payments.0 -
