Hello The_doomed
I'll move your thread to the 'Small Biz' board.
Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email !!!!!!.

Try asking on ukbusinessforums.com - might get a bigger response on there...."The happiest of people don't necessarily have the

Getting the idea is the first challenge and the one that the majority of people fail at.
Generally people look at their interests/ skills/ hobbies for ideas.... your own business is a hell of a lot of work and very often for little money (if any) in the first months or even years. It is therefore much easier to get yourself into doing 10+ hours a day 6 days a week if you actually like/ are interested in what you are doing, much harder if you choose something of no interest at all simply because you think there is a niche in the market. The flip side of cause is that ultimately a business will become about "business" and not bonsai trees (or what ever you interest is in) when it takes off so dont also assume that just because it is a hobby that you are going to spend all day prooning your prized collection etc.All posts made are simply my own opinions and are neither professional advice nor the opinions of my employers

If you are at Uni then they should be able to offer help with this....
What Uni are you at (pm me if you don't want to post).
At the Uni I work at, we offer loads of help / advice / funding to people wanting to start up in business.
If the ideas bit is your problem (was always mine too, hence why I help people get rich instead of doing it myself) have a look at http://www.flyingstart-ncge.com
Its a free event anc claims to help you with ideas for starting up a business!

Smurf, check out this thread about 'Ling' who was on Dragons Den this week - very inspiring. She rents over £1.5 million worth of cars every month for a monthly profit approaching 10k, almost singlehandedly (9-6, 5 days a week according to her website!). Maybe think about taking a 'boring' business like car leasing (but something different obviously as she's got that sewn up!) and injecting some fun and personality into it....
