Eon blocking my uswitch to FirstUtility
I've put in process a uswitch 3 weeks ago - switching both Elec and Gas to FirstUtility from Eon.
Just checked my FirstUtility progress on their website and it says the Electricity's been done but my current supplier, Eon, are blocking switch of the gas. Only logged on just now to FirstUtility so too late this eve to call Eon to ask "Why?".
Anyone else had this issue? any tips? If i call Eon tomorrow will they just action it? Why would they block it? My last bill from Eon on 15 January showed me £70 in credit, so there's no issue with money owing
Regards

Hi SiWilts
I think you need to contact us to ask us why.
If there is no debt, then it may be that your gas is supplied via an IGT (independent gas transporter) because this can sometimes cause an issue when switching.
Sometimes it can happen due to insufficient information or details, the only way to get it sorted and find out is to ask.
I know this isn't that helpful but just wanted to let you know what it might be
If you need me, just ask.
