The only one I will eat is the Bombay Bad Boy as there aren't too many 'bits' in that one (i.e. the hideous dried up veg).

Does anyone remember years ago there was a bacon flavoured pot noodle called The Sizzler? They were only around for a limited time for some reason but they were awesome! No 'bits' in it either.

  • I think half the posters on this thread are getting confused. The Golden Wonder Pot Noodles, which come in such flavours as All Day Breakfast and Chip Shop Curry are rotten. The original Pot Noodles, however, which are the ones most of you are thinking of, I like.

I'm confused, are we talking about Pot Noodles or a similar product? They were originally Golden Wonder Pot Noodles, but they just became Pot Noodle after a while.

Same company, different noodles. Golden Wonder now make 'the nations noodles' as well as 'pot noodle'.
  • I think that Pot Noodles were taken over, hence the Golden Wonder "nation's noodles".

    ETA:
Golden Wonder launched the Pot Noodle brand in the United Kingdom in 1978.[1] The Golden Wonder brand was acquired by Unilever in 1995. Golden Wonder was then sold to Tayto in 2006, with Unilever retaining the Pot Noodle brand. Golden Wonder has since established another line of pot noodles called The Nation's Noodles[2] in direct competition with their old brand.[3]

Is there something about the phrase "The nation's" that means it translates as "!!!!" when used in marketing?

    The nation's noodle
    The nation's Post Office

All we need now is Yodel to bill themselves as "The nations couriers" for the perfect hat-trick.
