Which is the right insurance policy?

Hi,:rotfl:
Can anyone give me advice. My dad owns some land and he is looking for an insurance policy. That if anyone goes on his land and hurts themselves and decides to claim against him he is covered.

He has asked me to look for public liability insurance but on the web sites I have looked at they are referring to occupations that this type of cover, covers.

Am I looking for the wrong insurance policy or is it called something else.

Speak to a local insurance broker. Property owners liability is what you need I think.

It is public liability cover that you need but it may be "renamed" something like property owners liability as ArchieB says.

Is the land just derelict? is it used for anything? Are there any structures on the land?

The land is used to stable horses and theres a small wooden house on it. Which is used in the day.

The land is being used and there are many people that go onto it.
