We have 1 mixer shower which was in when we bought the house. We've since fitted 2 high powered electric showers to ensure we'll have hot water for washing (if nothing else) should the central heating have issues.

On a slight tangent... Have you ever run both electric showers at the same time?

We put two in, but were advised that it's not best practice as the load is so high for an electric shower that if we tried running both simultaneously then the main fuse for the house would probably blow (due to us exceeding the house's main supply).

It's not a problem for us as it's just the two of us (plus the occasional house guest) so we don't run the showers at the same time. I've always kind of wondered whether it'd trip the fuse or not though, but never been brave enough to try in case I do some real damage. :rotfl:

We certainly have, but we have a separate feed for one of them (so 2 'main' fuses) as one is in an outbuilding.
Science adjusts its views based on what's observed.
Faith is the denial of observation, so that belief can be preserved.

A combi is a condensing boiler (at least, all ones fitted in the last few years will be).

Yes of course. I wasn't clear - I meant I had a condensing boiler with a cylinder as opposed to a condensing combi boiler.
