in Credit cards
Hi All
I have a Student Credit Card with natwest and was wondering if anyone could help me. Im planning to buy a hotel room which is charged in Japanese Yen, on my mastercard with the above card. does anyone know what charges they put on, and what the exchange rate they use is like? couldnt find any info on their website
As its an advance-purchase room rate I need to secure the booking of the hotel with credit card which gets charged before arrival - so no chance of paying by cash in local rate.
Would appreciate any help
Cheers

Foreign exchange transactions are subject to a conversion fee of 2.75% (including purchase of foreign currency and travellers cheques). Exchange rate is Visa/Mastercard wholesale rate which is not far from http://newsvote.bbc.co.uk/1/shared/fds/hi/business/market_data/currency/default.stm0

Easiest thing as ever is to ask natwest
Looking on their site it states:Foreign exchange transactions are subject to a conversion fee of 2.75% (including purchase of foreign currency and travellers cheques). All posts made are simply my own opinions and are neither professional advice nor the opinions of my employers
