How do I find how much vintage Mayfair mags are worth and can I sell them on ebay ?

Hi,

We have recently moved into a new property.

After going up the loft, I have found some old vintage adult Mayfair mags. They are in very good condition, dated in the 1970s and some are special editions.

One of my mates has advised that they could be worth some money so rather than throw them out, I would like to sell them.

I have 2 queries :

1. How can I find out how much money these mags are worth ?

2. Can I sell them on ebay or is there a better way to sell them ? Please note that I have never sold anything on ebay.

Any advice would be welcomed.

Ebay are surprisingly moralistic in the UK and you stand a very good chance of having your listings pulled.

Try Gumtree or small ads ir even a real Bricks and mortar auction house.

If you put Mayfair magazine into ebay it brings up a surprising number of listings. If you then look at completed listings it then shows the prices that these magazine have sold for. I have no idea though if adult magazine listings are allowed on ebay!

It's one of those really weird things, they seem to allow them but then on a whim will pull everything overnight on occasions. Ebay.uk have a strict no adult policy.

Thanks for the above replies and good job that I asked. I have had a look at ebay and can see the mags are going for a very good price. Trouble is that I can't see the mags that I've got, which hopefully will mean that they are worth more.

I think that I will wait for an ebay free weekend before trying to sell them. If they then pull my postings, I won't have lost any money.
