    I don't want the car but I have the means to pay so I almost feel obliged to watch

    Don't panic.
    It's been listed 3 times now and reserve not met all 3 times, so I would expect it to appear again fairly soon.

    If you want to see how many watchers an item has use this site but the listing has to have at least one bid to see how many watchers there are http://www.watchcount.com/ Where it says keyword that's where you put the item number. It doesn't work if the listing has ended.
