Okay, daft question but would be grateful if someone could help. 
The Windows toolbar is usually horizontal at the bottom of the screen but for some strange reason it is now vertical and up the right hand side of the screen.
How can this be rectified? I will be eternally grateful! Thanks! :beer:

click on the tool bar (task bar) drag it to the bottom .....Rich people save then spend.

If it does not want to move - right click on a clear area of the task bar and untick "Lock the taskbar"

My dad had the same prob the other day and the advice above is correct, but remember to re-lock the taskbar after doing it, else it could happen again.
I have also found a potential reason for it happening - I inadvertently pressed F11 the other day and the bar shot to the top of the screen, so that could be how it happened? Or maybe one of the other 'F' keys - I'm not sure of all their functions TBH.
It may take a couple of tries before it goes back to the bottom - I had to enlarge dad's task bar to about an inch before it'd move, then shrink it when I got it back to the bottom. (Haven't a clue why - but it wouldn't move otherwise!)
