These BP offers are always the same - none in the North of England?

Why is that - it's not as though there aren't BP garages all over the UK, so why only a certain area??

I'd love to know from BP why this is.

I did wonder if it's simply a 'glitch' on their site, and there are some? Guess the only way to find out is to try one and see if they accept it.

You'll find trouble washing your car anytime soon. Pretty much every car wash in the area doesn't work because of the water frozen in the pipes.
I was going to wait until the next big snow dump - preducted for Thursday night / Fri clears so the car gets good and dirty first!!

I did this on their last promo and it scratched my car, I was absolutely gutted

I would be too! Presumably it is at your own risk? - but I don't understand why BP wouldn't want to investigate asap, if this happened to your vehicle then surely the car wash would be doing this to all that pass through it?

It's because the offers are only on at BP owned & operated sites - the rest are franchise operated BP sites.

Yep. I went into mine down the road in Wigan and the man said they are independent so don't do any offers advertised by BP. Boo hoo.

Thats true but I would never use a car wash they scratch your car and it was proven

    Funny video of car wash

I cant find the damn article but basically 3 cars were detailed removed any imperfections etc and then cleaned with pressure washer, car wash and supermarket washer. Car wash came out worse of all you may as well wash car with sandpaper

    Best way is hand wash

  • Don't bother with this if you live in the Midlands. I'm in NG19 and no one within 50 miles is taking part in it. Some of the people at the garages I phoned were rude to say the least! I tried it last time it was on this page as well and I got the same result both times! If you can find one, best of luck but don't waste too much in phone calls or going to garages just for it. It will end up costing you loads!

Its as much as 50p to get your car scratched to hell. Its easy to do for free with sandpaper. Anyone that treasures there car should not use a car wash.
  • Hi, loads of people have told me about scratches from car washes. I've been using them on and off for 40 years and never had a mark yet. I think it depends on the finish of your bodywork. If you have an expensive car the finish is treated and doesn't scratch that easily but if it's a cheaper one it might do. I have an Audi A4 and have used car washes many times since 2006 when it was new and there's not a mark on it. I've started using one of the local hand wash places recently and they make a better job, but it's more expensive. I suppose it depends on what you're satisfied with at the end of the day.
