Bought new nike trainers for 6 year old lots of room at front

but he has a cut on the back of his foot and at the sides. I am really annoyed, he wore them for 3 hours and they cost £30. They were bought in JJB sport. Should I write to Nike or go back to the shop. Arrrgh.
Any advice really welcome:confused:

  • Did JJB Sports actually help you to fit them? If you chose them yourself and they are ill-fitting, you can't complain when they give your son cuts on his feet.

Thats what I was going to say too :)

You are not entitled to anything as the shoes are not faulty in any way - they just dont fit your son. That is no-ones fault but your own I'm afraid.

JJB dont fit shoes so its your responsibility to ensure they fit.

The best thing to do in the future is let him walk around the house in them for an hour first. Then check his feet - he will have red sore marks after that time if they are going to rub or he will be able to tell you if they are hurting.

If the shoes aren't of the size described, then that would mean you would be entitled to a refund under SoGA. Proving this may be costly and difficult.

  • were they too big if there was "lots of room in front"?

I was just thinking that too. In which case OP just save them until he's bigger and they do fit him. or he could wear thicker socks.
Don't grow up. Its a trap!

  • just a thought have you checked for rough lining / bad seams inside?

Does your son have wide feet? Some makes are wider than others. I always find Adidas fit my DS's wide feet well.

You say cuts? Do you mean blisters, or are the linings faulty?

Nike trainers for a 6 year old? That's not very money-saving :naughty:
