EDF DD saga continues

After much hassle with EDF adjusting my DD amount upwards every time I gave a reading, I stopped entering monthly readings online last October and the payments stayed at £100 per month, which I had calculated would comfortably cover my usage.
The other day, a man came to read my meters, so I figured I would see what happened. Sure enough, I get a bill stating my DD will increase to £135 - my account is still in credit.
So, from the £100 I set it at last May, they have tried to increase to to £107, £123, £117 and £135. Each time I've had to phone them up and an apologetic member of staff has put it back to £100. Today, the lady who answered went away and calculated it should be £80. She even offered to set it at that, but could not offer an explanation as to how £135 was reached, except that it would use estimated usage as they don't have a year of actual.
I sent a letter of complaint to them last December 5. Never had a reply and there is no record on my account of any written complaint - there is now!
By the end of my current contract in September, I calculate I will be £245 in credit. Suppose I'll have to fight to get that back when I leave.
