Hey guys, i'm making a computer and want to find a respectable place who will source the parts at reasonable price
So far, i have this.
1 x XFX ATI Radeon HD 6850 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £97.99
1 x Intel Core i3-2100 3.10GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor - Retail £88.79
1 x Gigabyte Z68AP-D3 Intel Z68 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard £77.98
1 x Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 500GB SATA 6Gb/s 16MB Cache - OEM (ST500DM002) £62.99
1 x BitFenix Merc Alpha Gaming Case - Black £32.99
1 x Cooler Master GX 450W '80 Plus' Power Supply £26.99
1 x Kingston HyperX Blu 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (KHX1600C9AD3B1K2/4G) £17.99
1 x 22x DVD±RW SATA ReWriter (Black) - OEM £15.98
These prices include VAT.
I would prefer to purchase them all from one place.

I have never heard of Dbs, does it have a good reputation?
Dabs are quite large, been around for ages. Used to sponsor Fulham FC. I use eBuyer personally and usually you'll find everything there. Scan as suggest are good too.0 -
I have found it difficult in the past to source all itmes from one place - out-of-stock - not stocked - discontinued etc.
I usually end up buying from 2/3 places, but always considering delivery costs, as well as reputation for returns.
Although I do buy from Dabs if they are the only entity with stock, I try to avoid them, because of their dreadful reputation for dealing with problems (read elswhere on the forum as well as on trustpilot).
You can use Skinflint to find out reputable entities prices are for each item, and current stock levels - http://skinflint.co.uk/
Amazon & Scan are good - I have also used Novatech, OYYY, Misco, Microdirect, Tekheads, and Lambdatek in the past. Ebuyer used to be bad, but I understand they are making real efforts to reverse this, although sometimes I still find their stock levels may be exaggerated.
Good setup, my only comment is that the cpu is a little light, the i5 2500k is pricier but is the best price/performance cpu out there, and may be overclocked upto 4.6GHz, that is if you had a mind to.0 -
I'v mailed the companies you suggested, and i'm now waiting for quotes.
I will keep checking back here just incase someone else suggests somewhere else.
I appreciate your help.0 -
