When to expect credit from previous supplier

I have changed from Eon to Scottish Power. Change date was 30th Jan. I wonder when and how I will be getting my credit back? I have kept my direct debit 'open' for Eon just in case, they refund me directly.

You can claim it back any time you want. Just phone them up and ask for it.
If you have yet to receive your final bill, I'd wait a bit longer as they can they just take what they want out out of your credit and you can then request a refund of what's left.

Did you send your closing/opening reading on 30/1/?
2 to 3 weeks is not an unusual time to wait for a final bill, they have to agree the reading with the incoming supplier.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

    Hi Middy,

We will send your refund to your bank account (as you have left the Direct Debit open) once we have produced the final bill.

If you have an online account, you will get an email when the bill is ready to view, if not this will come through the post as normal.

    Thanks

    Helena :)
