Share Ownership Help

Quick question - my elderly neighbour is trying to get together all the shares that her and her husband have owned during their 90-odd years.
Is there any central point of contact she could use that would be able to give her a definitive list of all the companies they held shares in?
Have tried google for answers without success.
Thanks for your help.

No, sorry.
She might try Computershare and Equiniti; they're registrars for lots of companies.
She could also try the Unclaimed Asset Register (that costs £25).0
