Hi there.
I'm getting reeeeeeeeeeeeeeally frustrated. My ipad2 had no problem finding my home network when I first bought it but I've recently had a problem with my talktalk phone line (it was down over the weekend) and now my ipad can't find my network!
My desktop pc is connected and I can connect to the internet no problem. I'm using a Huawei Echolife HG520b wireless router. Even after following talktalk's instructions on-line I've not been able to find my user name/password to try and connect manually.
Can anyone help??
Vicki

How is your PC connected? By ethernet or wirelessly? Can any othe device connect to the router wirelessly?0

The yellow cable is plugged into my pc - does that mean I'm not connected wirelessly? The set up is exactly as was before I had problems over the weekend. Just tried my kindle and got the same problem!!0

Your desktop appears to be wired connected, not wirelessly which is why it works.
It would appear that the original settings, for whichever reason has had its settings wiped out.
Try to reset the router to factory settings and set-up once again the wireless settings with a fresh name/password0 -
'Try to reset the router to factory settings and set-up once again the wireless settings with a fresh name/password'...how would I do this??0

According to what I see online, the details are on the base of the router with its own unique name and password. Do you see that unique name on the iPad?0
-
There's nothing on the base of the router but there is a sticker on the back saying that my username and password are automatically set up for me and that I can call to retrieve them - I changed my network name and password when I originally set up the router though.0
-
Yes but if that is not seen by the iPad then it may have defaulted back to the original name/password.
Do you see the original name as a signal?0 -
No it's not finding any networks at all0
-
Is the iPad WiFi actually on? Can you see any networks on other wireless devices?0

It's def on yeah...my kindle can't find the network either though.0
