How long should I keep a card before transferring to another card?

Hi,

I currently have 2 credit cards:

Virgin Mastercard which I have had for approx 2 years and has a limit of £5400 and a balance of about £600 currently,

and

Barclaycard, limit £5000, which they have now just increased to £7000. Current balance is £1360 and this month's interest is about £21.00 and I've had the card since Dec 2010.

Virgin have just offered me 0% interest till Feb 2013 on balance transfers, but I'm just a bit concerned that if I transfer my Barclaycard balance after onlt having the card for 13 months, will it hurt my Experian credit rating.

In other words, how often can you do balance transfers sensibly?

Thank you. :)
