Hi all,
My OH and I are going to the IOW to see her auntie on 25th Feb for two nights and need to find a cheaptastic way of crossing the water.
Does anyone have any suggestions who to try for the cheapes fares? Are there discount codes available?
If anyone could help I'd be very grateful! If it helps, there'll be two of us with a renault clio and we don't really mind where we sail to on the IOW, but we're going to Ventnor.
Thanks!

You have a choice of Redfunnel or Wightlink. I have tended to find Redfunnel (which is Southampton to Cowes) the cheapest, particularly if you travel early morning or in the evening. For your dates I did a quick search on their website - depart 10.50am 25th, return 17:35 27th £44.50. Try other times to see if you can get it any cheaper - they say 5 days return 'from £41.50' .

Wightlink https://www.wightlink.co.uk website fare from Portsmouth to Fishbourne is £51. Crossing is shorter at about 30 mins, compared with Southampton to Cowes which is about an hour.
Hope this helps0 -
Thanks very much! Will have a look!
Guess neither of these are on quidco!0 -

Agree - we have relatives on the Island and always go Red Funnel.0 -
:money: Not really ! plan ahead Wrightlink standard return = £111 BUT using £27.50 Tesco vouchers converted at least 28 days ahead into £110 Travel Deals and pay the £1 extra you get any any duration (even in August Cowes week) return for just £28.50. The code in the latest Tesco Deals book is S6027 the website at www.tesco.com/clubcarddeals has the latest T&C's if I can I will attach them for you.
Beat that if you can !0
