Online account for teen?

Hi folks,

I'm looking for an online account for my 13 year old son. He saves pocket money and birthday and christmas money and typically spends it on music and guitar type stuff on line.

I thought it would be a good idea to get him an account so I could pay his pocket money in monthly and he could see his money building up.

I found the RBS Revolve account for teens and thought it looked good for him with text messages for account activity until I saw that it seems the free texts are only to orange mobiles. I couldn't find info on how much texts cost to other mobiles but I'd not be wanting to pay for them.

I'm keen for the account to be accessible on-line so he can easily see the balance building up and ideally transfer his money to my account when he want to buy something online, etc.

Does anyone have advice on a suitable account?

We have a local Post Office, Clydesdale and RBS so that may be useful if he does need to visit the branch.

thanks

Glenn
