CP Plus Ltd

Please can someone advise me. I parked last Nov in a car park run by CP Plus Ltd, one that takes a pic of your car. I fully admit I was in a rush as had been away and needed to get back to collect children from school, and completely forgot to pay. To cut a long story short, they wrote to me at Xmas asking for a ridiculous amount, and I didnt pay. They have now sent me a solicitors letter (although solicitor has their address on it) asking for £207.25. original parking cost was about £11. Solicitor is Graham White.

I know I'm in the wrong, but I cant afford to pay that, am happy to pay something, what do I do? Is it enforceable? Can they sue me for that huge amount?

Thanks?

    It is a fake solicitor.
To go with the fake parking fine.

Absolutely correct. The charge is entirely unenforceable, and the fact that the bogus "solicitor" shares the same address as the car parking company is the clue that it's a scam from start to finish. Have you heard from the third wise monkey, Roxburghe, as well? Whatever, just file all correspondence under IGNORE and remember the three DON'Ts: Don't communicate with them; Don't tell them who was driving; and above all Don't Panic! If Graham White's writing they will probably be giving up soon and then you will hear no more from them.

PPCs say its carpark management, BPA say its raising standards..... we all know its just about raking in the revenue.

The landowner has suffered a small damage of whatever the Pay & Display fee was for the amount of time you've stayed in the car-park (so to quote you OP, around £11). Ignore CP Plus and their letter scam
  • throw it in in the bin, or use it as loo roll
  • £11? In a pay and display? Where is it, Mayfair?
