Can't use MSE on smart phone since changes

Since the recent changes, I'm finding using this site virtually impossible on my Nokia E63 (yeah I know I should upgrade but it's fine for everything else!).

Whereas I used to see pretty much what I see on a normal computer screen, now I get a long long list of every board in the forums, then a long long list of every subject that there are help topics on, then finally at the bottom I can see the board I have chosen from the list. However to open a thread, turn a page or go to a different thread I am taken back to the top of the page and have to scroll all the way down again, which takes ages on a smart phone.

There is a button at the bottom to go straight to Top but we need one at the top to go straight to Bottom of page.

Alternatively could there be a site format specifically for mobiles? I think many websites do offer this option.

If something isn't done I won't be able to use the site when I'm travelling anymore, which will be a big :( .

Taptalk is a app for forums but the forum must support it, mse doesn't at present. It gets asked many times on here and mse so far wont support 3rd party apps

It works fine on a tablet though, I never find phones useful for net myself text is too small as is screen

Looks like I'll have to save up for a tablet then :(. Wonder if MSE has any tips for finding a cheap one!

It still works fine on an iPhone 4 too, it just shows me the normal site, same as on an iPad. It's just very very tiny!

Oh well, as I'm quite happy with my £18.38 a month contract (my sister has just got an iPhone4 @ £35 a month ) I'll just have to keep my MSE activities to when I'm at home. Shame, it was not ideal but at least useable when travelling.

Do the techie team actually read this board? Just wondering if there is a quick fix (other than an app, which I gather has already been requested) to enable those of us with basic smartphones to view a text only version. Would be interested to know, even if it's just "sorry but no".
