I'm considering buying a couple of sets of false nails to paint perhaps Harry Potter type things onto. Obviously its going to be quite detailed small work again but I was thinking of trying to sell them on eBay. Any thoughts?

Ladies - Any tips on putting a shatter on. Have had a beautiful OPI shatter delievered today and want it work but mine never seem to 'shatter'? Any ideas on what I might be doing wrong.

Pullip - they are amazing. A fab tribute to team GB.

Worth a try, you've nothing to lose really. I'm thinking of trying to sell some of the nail polish Jewellery I've made on eBay or etsy.

I must say I've had mixed results with the OPI shatters, would love to know if anyone knows what the trick is with those.

I do a lot of geek style things like Star Wars and Dr Who etc, I'm thinking that maybe people may want them for conventions and the like. I've ordered some false nails from Hong Kong so I'll give it a go next free listing weekend. I love doing it anyway so nothing lost really.

If I'm going for it you should too!

I'll give it a bash. I've got a tiger design pendant I made, I won't wear it, only made it to see if I could do it. Might as well see if anyone would buy it, cost less than a quid to make it.

The problem with the false nails thing is getting a set of 10 nails to fit a persons nails. I struggle to get 10 out of a normal set because my nails are quite narrow meaning most of the falsies are too big. And most sets come with 10 different sizes don't they to fit to your nails? You may find yourself having to send out quite a few nails per 'set' so people can get the right fit? :o

I do think it's a fab idea if you can work around that though. Especially for events/conventions. How long do they take to paint? Would it be possible to set up at events and offer them? Or maybe design wraps so people can easily fit them to their own nails?

The Team GB nails are immense, have you posted them on their facebook page?

If you don't want to do it directly I have no issue doing it. Your talented and should shout about it.
