okay. having just watched this... Where do I get/buy/acquire?

That looks quite neat. And okay I know newbie = terrible first few tries, but looking at that you need a few things, so would a kit be a good idea? and if so, where can I get them. Design wise I'd do patterns, rather than actual things, but idk for definite.

Is it like anything else, are there kits better than the other?
And they talk about "special" nail varnishes in that, can you use bog standard off the shelf ones?

I thought I was being sophisticated with the crackle, this is a whole new world for me :D

    Hi Lifeforms,

I have just started stamping. So a newbie too.

personaly I would try to go cheapie first, stamping is easy but i find i want it to be perfect so its a bit of a bother. However it is easy and i have used to really good effect. So its worth just seeing if you like it before tromping up loads of cash.

I bought no polishes, only used my normal ones and borrowed a set off my mate to see if suited.

    Happy stamping :D

Todays mani. Work plain but with a bit of dazzle at the tips. again i have a the naffest of camras so this pic does not do the polish justice.

Stamping is a lot easier with the konad special polishes as the result is much more defined. However, if you are using normal polish you can still get A good result but I have found the cheapie stamp sets ( not konad brand) better with normal nail polish

Yes you do. The first step is to stop with the obsession. I would recomend as part of the process to sent the polishes to me as urgent.

    Its for your recovery, honest.

I agree with Tygermoth. I think you should split your new collection in half and send some to each of us :rotfl:

I asked on Facebook & she ships to the UK!

Her service can apparently be a bit hit and miss. Also her prices are ok, but beatable. I would still recommend Ninja Polish or Harlow & Co., and their UK shipping rates are very good! HTH! x

LadyS I loved your stash picture - thanks for sharing!!

For anybody who might have missed it, BrandAlley currently have butter LONDON on offer. You didn't hear it from me :rotfl:

I also visited the new Models Own Bottleship in Westfield White City - it was lovely ;)

Currently wearing Models Own Golden Green Beetle Juice, and I love it!!

    Thanks Sawan.

Must admit I have heard less than glowing reports about llarowe aswell. Look at all the people waiting for Lynnderella, and now she is doing in on an alphabetical basis :S would be right unhappy if I was the oldest order, but it didn't come for ages because of that.

Someone was asking about places to get polish in USA.

Well, I would reccomend looking in CVS or walgreens. If anyone is going to NYC I would suggest Rays Beauty Store, also Nordstrom rack had discounted nailpolish including OPI

I think the best thing to do would be to send all your polishes to the posters on here :rotfl:
I haven't bought a nail polish since late March :A
And that was only a top coat, the last time I bought a colour was late February

That was a good clip, thanks. I'm new to stamping too . First I bought a Konad starter kit from ebay .Think it was about £13 + it included a choice of plate , scraper , stamper + 3 konad polishes + instructions . Then I bought 2 Konad more plates + a polish from ebay . Konad plates about £5 each . Liked them .From Amazon this week I bought Bundle Monster (could be Monster Bundle !) 25 plates for £17 . Loads of images + so much cheaper. I've just tried a couple but they're great + some fab designs too . I did try stamping with an old polish + it was ok but the konad ones are better . They're thicker + give a better image . My stamping isn't perfect yet but it's fun and I'm liking all the different looks . Sure you'll like it too .
