Would it be worth claiming??

Have never posted before...any advise welcomed!!...I took out a loan in 2005 with Citifinancial (now MetLife), to be repaid over 36 mths...I0 mths later, i wanted to increase the loan by 1000 pounds, so payments were then to be over 48 mths...however, 9 mths into the loan repayments, my financial position improved greatly and i was the able to pay off the loan in full....i have all the paperwork of both loans and they show that i paid ppi...my question is - would i have much ( if any at all ) to come back since i paid the loan off so quickly??

You paid 19 months of ppi,so if you win redress, you get this ppi back plus 8%,if any ppi was carried over to the second loan, you will get this too, less the rebate of ppi they gave you when you settled.
  • This is really worth doing. I had a loan, which was later topped up, with EGG. Now transferred to Moorgate. I had the top up paperwork where the PPI was £4500 so I just thought I'd give it a go and I raised a complaint based on that - using the guide and documentation on this site. Took 12 weeks but the complaint has been upheld in full, and they actually refunded the PPI for the original and Top Up loans which is more than I aksed for, £7000 jsut for a 'nothing ventured nothing gained' moment. Yay!
