Hi
Children break up on friday for a week and a day.
Was thinking about a Day to Blackpool- ok I know it`s in Lancs- but not too far, was thinking of going to Pleasure Beach-Beaver Creek-kiddes bit £10 wrist band, but just been on web site and it looks like the whole park is closed- also the tower. Was going to take a picnic and a big flask!
Any ideas for inside things suitable for a 5 and 7 year old- boys?
Already got lunch at a pub with a friend- with a play barn
Friends coming to play and for lunch
Beetle drive! At local community Hall
Trip to liabray-craft afternoon
Hubbie is having a day off and we have very little `family time` so wanted to go somewhere for a day.
Any ideas?

Eureka is great fun, I still adore it at my age. Alternativley go to The National Museam of Photography Film and Television in Bradford - free entry and there are some cracking things to do for kids. While you are at the Bradford Museam check out the Imax Cinema, its amazing.
Another good day out is Cannon Hall Farm in Barnsley, it might be a bit cold but the animals are great fun.
Have a great half term! There are many things in life that will catch your eye, only a few will catch your heart. Pursue those.0 -
Not sure where you are in Yorkshire but york railway museum is free.
Doncaster is on half-term this week, so if you are within travelling distance, it will be quiet next week;) and places like here that charge more in school holidays will be back down to the cheaper term-time price.

The newly refurbished Weston Park museum in Sheffield is free and both kids and adults loved it there. Lots of hands on interactive stuff for them to do. Also Heeley City Farm is good and has a lovely tea room with organic food (and not expensive). Where abouts in Yorkshire are you, as most of the area's around here have had half term this week.0

National Coal mining museum just outside wakefield is free - half term in wakefield next week though, and so will be busy. Then if the weather is reasonable you can drop down to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park, again free, but with £3 parking for the day.0

Play a game of 'cleaning the house for mum'0

Hey,
I had an email from the pleasure beach in Blackpool a few days ago. They are apparently open at weekends from 12-5pm. Its £10 if you pre-order a wristband on their internet site or £15 on the gates.
Hope that helps.0 -
what about the Eureka museum http://www.eureka.org.uk/ it is in Halifax0

Magna - museum for children in old steel works with air, water, earth and fire zones near Meadowhall, also has great outdoor playground. You can use tesco deal vouchers to pay your way in.
Swimming pools - barnsley metrodome, wakefield lightwaves both have slides and wave machines. Your local pool will probably have a fun swim session with inflatables etc every day during half term.
Orange Wednesday (text film to 241 for a two for one voucher from an orange network phone) or kids club (old films, cost a couple of pounds to get in) trip to your local cinema
Bowling - go to an alley in a neighboroughing authority where kids are back in school for a quieter day and get a family lane for an hour, normally about £10.0 -
