Automatic Garage Roller Door Opener

Hi,
I hope somebody can give me some advice on having an opener fitted to a garage roller door.

This is a brand new garage and contrary to expectations it didn't come with an opener, although what I think is a connection of some sort is there. This is a small oblong plate with a small hole in it, and an electrical supply to the garage.

I can buy the necessary motor from the door manufacturers for about £100 but they are quoting between £100 and £150 for fitting. Is this a job that a competent DIYer could do? Would an installation of this type require an electrical certificate? Is the figure they are quoting fair?

I'd be glad of some advice please.
