Halifax £100 offer for joint ac

We both have Reward accounts (opened about 6 months ago) and are receiving the fivers, but not using the accounts for much else. We have a Santander joint account which has 1 SO and 1 DD, no overdraft. Since it gets 5% on £2500, it's not very good as a joint ac and would be better as joint savings, because every time the SO and DD go out, I top it back up to maximise the interest.

If we can get a joint Halifax reward account we would actually use it as our main joint account (but they might not believe us). Our "main" individual accounts are not with a Lloyds group bank or Santander. We are both students so don't have salaries, though I believe many couples would have their salaries paid into their individual accounts anyway.

Has anyone tried to open a joint ac and got the £100? What would be the best way for us to get it? Thanks.
