......the question is - where to go for that advice? I would appreciate any thoughts from people on here.
You may have seen my thread in the "pensions and retirement forum". But the situation is broadly as follows:
I am a UK national living in Germany and have done for the last 12 years. Aiming to retire in 2-3 years and then relocate back to the UK. I have a decent amount of money in pensions and savings (with a mixture of investments) and want to make sure that when we relocate we do so in a tax efficient manner. Therefore my need is for advice from a firm / someone that has international understanding.
To be honest my knowledge of investments is ok but my knowledge of UK tax is poor!
Any thoughts?

Money won't buy you happiness....but I have never been in a situation where more money made things worse!

So you need an IFA or tax specialist. Maybe one who handles offshore/expats. So you could look at unbiased.co.uk or contact a firm offshore somewhere like the IOM.0
