Insect mesh/fly screen for windows

Where can I get a good quality net for my windows, the kind that you attach with velcro? I've looked at a few places and the reviews seem to be mixed, with people saying that the net frays easily and the velcro doesn't stick for very long. Anyone know of a tried and tested product that's easy to attach and relatively cheap?

I'd recommend saving money in the long run and getting a properly fitted fly screen. My girlfriend and I live near a resevoir and with standing water comes insects. We went through loads of the temporary velcro screens and had we just made our mind up sooner we'd have saved quite a bit of money

I've got a proper hinged screen door on my back door which stops insects but have to say it's badly made and needed self assembly - really fiddly.

I've just seen that Lidl is selling aluminium door screens and frames from Monday. Has anyone tried these before? Are they easy to install? They are selling the frames separately from the doors (which already have frames), not sure why this is?

I long for the day when I can open my patio doors and get on with the rest of the houswork without worrying about squirrels / foxes gaining entry.
