Create an online user guide

Hi,

I'm writing a training manual and I wanted to make a user guide for it that was available online. It would be preferably in HTML or JAVA but I'm not too confident in using these.

It's simply a handheld computer system user guide so probably HTML would be best and I want it so that the user can click on the buttons of a picture of the system and see the effects.

Also, some popup tips would be helpful as well.

Can anyone advise the best program to help me do this quickly and easily? I don't mind paying for a decent piece of software if it does it well!

Thanks everyone

Matt

    I don't understand why you want a user guide for a training manual. Surely it's a no-brainer?
    "Open training manual. Read it".
the user can click on the buttons of a picture of the system and see the effects.
    What sort of effects?
Also, some popup tips would be helpful as well.
Avoid pop-ups. Many people have them disabled.

Dreamweaver MX is popular but I couldn't call it "easy" or "quick" to learn. Are you using MacOS or Windows?

Sorry I didn't word it very well - it's an online version of the training manual
    What sort of effects?

I mean the effects of what happens when you click a button. In other words you click a button and the computer screen gives a representation of what would happen.

I think tool tips are what I meant to say. The things that come up when you hover your mouse over something.

Thanks for your help so far - any more assistance is always appreciated!
