Latest British gas bill

Hi, I wonder if anyone can help me. I have had a nightmare with British gas for years following a new meter installation that didnt work properly, then replaced and then they got the meter reading (day/night) round the wrong way, then claimed to fix it, then back round wrong way blah blah. Finally established that I owed 500 odd pounds and tried to up my D/D to 190 per month which I refused and paid them standing order which the system didnt recognise. I got harassment phone calls (3 or 4 a day to both home and mobile) even though I was paying. A period of extreme ill health led to me applying to the energy trust for a grant to clear the debt as I just couldnt cope with them anymore and wanted to change supplier but I couldnt as I owed money. They cleared the debt in December. Been looking at who is best to change to and in the meantime have had another bill in which they have fiddled about and sent me a total bill from 2007 to date and I now owe £461 pounds again I don't know what to do. In December I was £60 in credit, Im paying £100 a month and now Im back where I started. I can't face going through all of this again, I have to phone every month because of some problem or another anyway and the thought of having to go through all of it again is crushing. Any advice would be gratefully appreciated.
