Best way to transfer money?

Hi,

I'm looking for some advice to transfer money if anyone can help. I have a fixed rate account which has just matured and I'd like to move the money to a fixed rate account at a different bank.

I was wondering what the best way would be to transfer the money over, as I'm guessing with the new account being fixed rate, they probably would want the full amount i'm going to pay in upfront.

The details of the account to which you want to move should have information on how to make the opening deposit.

If it is not an ISA the bank that has the funds now would expect to
transfer it to your regular current account and then you can invest
it into the new one.

I had a matured a/c with one bank last year and they wanted to send it to my current account and charge me for the privilege. This had never happened before so I kicked up a fuss and they reacted quickly and sent the money by Chaps.

Nearly forgot, if it is an ISA the bank you want to switch to needs to
make the arrangements - they send a form for you to complete.
