No bill from Scottish Power since 2010
Hi,
I've not received a bill since I think August 2010 from Scottish Power for my gas. I think it all began when they took over my electricity supply without authorisation (this took about 6 months to resolve).
I called SP in Sept '11 to query the lack of bills and they said my gas supply I had been transferred to British Gas in Dec '10. After 4 months of hassle, BG confirmed they do not supply gas to my house and that it is still with SP. I think this may all be down to SP having the wrong meter number linked to my house (so I may have been paying someone else's bills since I moved in :eek: ).
I have sent more emails to SP asking them about this and have received no reply. I sent a letter by registered post last week and still waiting for reply.
Has anyone else had this problem with Scottish Power and what was the outcome? I'm expecting to get a massive bill from them once/if they get to the bottom of this and bracing myself for loads of phone calls and arguing.
Any ideas on the best way to get this resolved? I said in my letter if they don't fix this by the end of the month I'll go to Ofgen, but what can Ofgen do?
