Invest into Stocks and Shares ISA and a cash ISA?

Hi

so if i for example invested £50 a month into a stocks and shares ISA with HSBC carried that one for a year, but during that year i invested £3000.00 into a cash isa with Barclays is this allowed.

So basically are you allowed to invest into a separate Cash ISA to a Stocks and shares ISA.

this may sound silly but im new to all this so apologies

Yes, you can have both cash isa and S&S isa with different providers.

Your annual ISA allowance for this tax year is £10200. You can put up to £5100 into a cash ISA with one provider, all at once or in stages. The balance up to £10200 can be invested in a S&S ISA with a different (or the same) provider.

So for instance if you choose to invest nothing in a cash ISA, you can invest anything up to £10200 in a S&S ISA. But it doesn't work the other way round, you can't invest more than £5100 in this year's cash ISA.
